Common SEO challenges for tractor and equipment manufacturers
When FTA Global took over Eicher Tractors’ SEO, the website had no blog section and relied heavily on branded traffic.
Farmers researching subsidies, government schemes, tractor specifications, and buying options were finding competitors first.
Mahindra, John Deere, Sonalika, and Massey had deeper content libraries. Eicher also had no meaningful visibility in AI Overviews, People Also Ask, or regional-language searches.
The task was not to improve an existing content engine. It was to build one from scratch.
Our SEO strategy to increase organic traffic for Eicher
FTA Global created three connected content tracks:
- Subsidies and government schemes
We developed state-specific subsidy guides, SMAM explainers, eligibility content, and articles covering government support for farmers.
These topics addressed urgent research needs while creating visibility across search and AI-generated answers.
- Buying guides and tractor education
Content was built around tractor horsepower, model comparisons, implements, parts, PTO, specifications, and common buying questions.
Instead of relying on branded searches, Eicher began appearing when farmers were still comparing options.
- Multilingual discovery
Content was published across Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, and Punjabi to reach farmers in Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4 markets.
Hreflang implementation and structured internal linking connected regional content with relevant product and category pages.
How did FTA Global execute a multilingual SEO content strategy for Eicher?
FTA Global established a monthly publishing system covering keyword research, policy trends, content briefs, multilingual writing, editing, schema, internal linking, and publishing.
Over nine months, the team delivered 54 blogs across four regional languages while supporting technical SEO and zero-click visibility.
The content system was built around real farmer questions, seasonal demand, competitor gaps, and policy calendars.
How were the SEO results and keyword ranking growth?
Top 3 keyword rankings grew from 171 to 261 between December 2025 and May 2026, an increase of 53%.
Several high-intent terms reached leading positions:
• Tractor subsidy at position 1
• 18 HP tractor at position 1
• Tractor scheme 2026 at position 1
• Best 49 HP tractor at position 2
• SMAM scheme at position 3
New blogs also gained rapid traction.
The "Best Tractors in India" article saw its click count grow from 11 to 245 in one month. The SMAM subsidy guide saw clicks increase from 24 to 295, while the state-wise subsidy article saw clicks rise from 94 to 788.
Moving from branded search to broader organic discovery
Eicher Tractors now appears across subsidy research, government schemes, product comparisons, regional queries, AI Overviews, and People Also Ask results.
The engagement did more than publish content.
It created an organic acquisition system designed around how Indian farmers research, compare, and choose tractors.
